Boat Tour: Relax in nature's beauty as we cruise upon two pristine lakes in Swiftcurrent and Grinnell Valleys. Departs from the dock lakeside of the Many Glacier Hotel. Several of the Park's larger glaciers are visible from this boat tour. All boat tours at Many Glacier include a cruise on the Chief Two Guns across Swiftcurrent Lake, a short 400 yard walk to Lake Josephine and a cruise across this second lake on the Morning Eagle. At the head of Lake Josephine you may choose to remain on board and return to the hotel area or take advantage of hiking and picnicking destinations in Grinnell Valley. Departures at 9 and 11 a.m. and 2 and 4:30 p.m. from June through September. Additional afternoon departures at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. are offered during July and August. Express service to Grinnell Glacier Trail after the trail has been opened, generally mid-July, departs at 8:30 a.m. Cruise length is 1 1/4 hours.

Guided Hikes: Revel in mountain fresh air and enjoy the coolness of the ancient forest as we walk to the turquoise jewel called Grinnell Lake. Round-trip distance is less than 2 miles and there is minimal elevation change. Hike begins with boat tour described above. Departs daily at 9 a.m. or 2 p.m. Total time for boat tour and hike is about 3 1/2 hours.

Other Hiking Destinations: Our tour boats can cut 4 miles off the hike to Grinnell Glacier. Express boat service to Grinnell Glacier departs daily at 8:30 a.m. when trail opens. National Park Service Ranger-Naturalist may be available to guide hike. Check location or schedules when you arrive at Glacier National Park.

Rental Boats: Rowboats, kayaks, and canoes for your picnicking, fishing, and exploring delight. $14/hr.
